For those of you TestDriving the Oracle 9i system we ask that you familiarize yourself with
the SQL commands ahead of time.
The ORACLE_SID that you will need to know is:
- ORAPORT for the Tru64 UNIX system
Your Oracle username and password are the same as your original NIS username and password.
Please note that the Oracle Portal testdrive is only accessable via your web browser.
We do not allow the following;
1. Running password crackers, dnetc clients, seti, distrib.net, etc.
2. Bringing down our machine, cracking etc.
When you bring down a machine you take away a free and valuable resource from
the open source community. So please, think before you act.
3. Long running, CPU bound processes are not encouraged. The Testdrive program is
not intended as a benchmark nor production environment. Programs that consume
significant amounts of system resources only make other users Testdrive experiences
less useful. Experiencing the power of HP systems should be taken in moderation
for everyone‘s benefit! :-)
4. Abusive file storage. Testdrive is not intended as an ISP/ASP environment. User
areas are not backed up, and cannot be restored. Users with large amount of disk usage
should understand they are simply consuming their fellow testers resources.
