| With the goal of simplifying how developers and end users work with XML data
sources, GlobusData has developed a new XML query language called qxLanguage.
This language is "much easier (to use) than any existing tool on the market, and
is the only language that can be used both by programmers and non-programmers
alike," the company reports.
Incorporating what the company describes as a "simple, concise and intuitive
syntax," qxLanguage uses SQL-like constructs for self-describing codes and
provides full support to XPath and XSLT. Even though it is a proprietary
language, it is compliant and compatible with existing XML standards governed by
W3 Consortium, the company says.
GlobusData also offers queryXML, an XML data access toolkit that uses
qxLanguage syntax to query XML structure. Tools can be used as a standalone
application, or can be integrated as a component into XML-enabled information
systems and applications. queryXML is supplied as a DLL, graphical desktop tool,
online tool, and Web Service.
